Bedford Fields Nursery

The anticipation of new growth in spring, warm summer days, the crispness of fall,  these are all wonderful reasons to grow perennials. Best of all, you only have to plant once to enjoy throughout all the seasons year after year.

From water wise to boggy sites and everything in between, Bedford Fields has all of your perennial plant needs.  If you don't see what you are looking for, please ask and we will do our best to get it for you.

Perennial of the Year 2010The perennial plant of the year for 2011 is Amsonia Hubrichti. It grows 36" high to 36" wide in mounded forms.  It is hardy to zones 4-9.

Amsonia offers a variety of features throughout the seasons. From late spring to early summer, two- to three-inch wide clusters of small, light blue, star-shaped flowers are borne above the ferny foliage. The alternate-arranged leaves are bright green in spring and summer, but turn a bright yellow-golden color in fall.

Of course we will also have a variety of our other favorite perennials including:

daylily
black eyed susan
peony
shasta daisy
coneflower
grasses
hosta
bleeding heart
astilbe
heuchera
